HR Virginia SHRM State Council has signed the pledge for this national initiative and is encouraging all HR professionals in the Commonwealth to do the same and that separately we’ll be encouraging all chapters to sign the pledge by June 1.

Nearly 700,000 people are released from prison each year and are locked out of the job market. Those who have served their time should not be “re-sentenced” by employers, especially when businesses are experiencing a human capital crisis.
