Our final session will be a panel discussion on interviewing and employing the formerly incarcerated.  Conference participants will have the opportunity to ask a panel of experts questions regarding how to return the formerly incarcerated to work in our community. Panelists will share strategy, tips,  best practices and pitfalls to avoid.

Panel Participants:  John Lilly, Chief of Programs at Middle River Regional Jail; Aaron Oda, Program Case Manager with Gemeinshaft Home; Work Release Program Representatives and Regional Employers

Since its inception in 2013, the Virginia Legal Forum (VALF) has aimed to provide the latest legal information and practical advice for local business leaders, business owners, Human Resources professionals, and their business colleagues. The Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) recognized the Virginia Legal Forum in 2014 with the Pinnacle Award, an award designed to honor the highest achievements in affiliate development and contributions that serve HR professional, advance the HR profession, and enhance the SHRM community.
