The Society for Human Resource Management’s Student Program was created in 1965 to promote mutually beneficial interaction between HRM students and practitioners. Since the first chapter was chartered more than 40 years ago, the student program has experienced tremendous growth. The program now includes over 450 affiliated student chapters and more than 15,000 student members.

We provide HR professionals in the Commonwealth of Virginia and District of Columbia information on local, statewide and national HR events, resources, initiatives and legislation to assist you in your day-to-day HR duties. HR Virginia Wins Pinnacle Award for Bold Purpose to Thrive Program

HR Virginia was one of 12 human resource organizations from across the country to win the award from the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), the highest honor given to SHRM state councils and chapters for notable contributions to the human resource profession.

Commonwealth Stem Industry Internship Program (CSIIP)

The Commonwealth STEM industry Internship Program (CSIIP) is a no-fee online system that enables companies to select and hire spring, summer, and fall interns from a large pool of pre-qualifed college and university STEM students throughout Virginia. Funded by the Commonwealth of Virginia, CSIIP is managed by the Virginia Space Grant Consortium, and is partners with organizationa like Virginia SHRM.
