Richmond SHRM is a leader in the community and a resource to companies large and small for all things HR. We believe in the inherent value of Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility (I.D.E.A.) as business differentiators. Richmond SHRM hosts an annual Diversity & Inclusion Symposium to help companies understand this concept and improve their I.D.E.A. efforts, to help business and HR professionals develop a competency in I.D.E.A., and to bring together organizations from across the Commonwealth to discuss current critical topics.
Our 2023 theme, “Building a Culture of Accountability” is a natural progression from our past themes, which identified ways we can move from a transactional to a transformational culture and how diversity of thought is a critical element in understanding Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) work. Without practical accountability, DEI work cannot thrive. Each of these sessions will equip you with the strategies and tools you need to take DEI to the next level and truly embed these practices in your culture. Even if you are just beginning your DEI journey, learning how to create a strategic, data-driven, and sustainable approach will guide your success along the way.
