Communications
Communications with our members and the HR and business communities are a core function of the Virginia SHRM State Council. We are committed to providing you with current and relevant council information through a variety of media methods. Some of these methods include e-blasts, communicating with your local chapter leadership, our Virginia HR Today magazine, our website, and through various social networking sites.

HR TODAY MAGAZINE
HR Today Magazine is published twice per year with a Winter/Spring version and a Summer/Fall version. A copy of the magazine is mailed to SHRM chapter members in Virginia and D.C. and an email goes to SHRM members and at-large members with a digital link to the magazine.

Social Media
Our VASHRM members are very active on Social Media with FaceBook, Twitter and LinkedIn. Don’t forget to add #vashrm to your chapter posts to share your communication.

Emails
There are pay for use email providers and also free services for mailing. This is a great way to reach out to people who have attended meetings or shown an interest in your chapter.
Press Releases
Can be produced as needed.
Can send to your local papers and some will post for free, some for a minimal cost, and some for a significant cost. Can also post to your website (for free).
