Join the Hampton Roads Society for Human Resource Management for Active Shooter in the Workplace, Part II: Preparedness is the Best Defense on July 25, 2019 from 11:15 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Founders Inn located at 5641 Indian River Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23464.

The presentation will educate HR professionals on how to manage the risk and liability created with active threats in the workplace, including how to prepare for such events by evaluating facilities and premises occupied by employees, learning what steps can be taken to secure facilities, identifying active threat risks, and learning to exclude and contain threats that may present themselves in the workplace. The presentation will also train HR professionals on how to be vigilant for and respond to active threat scenarios that may occur in the workplace and train their workforce to do the same.

Our presenter will Dan Marshall, who is the Founder and President of MFive Consulting LLC, a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). He provides strategic level consulting across multiple disciplines leveraging 23 years of Special Operation Forces (SOF) experience to team with key industry leaders on ways to increase corporate performance and security. He also provides business development and product development for companies that require innovative ways to attack new opportunities.

Mr. Marshall is also a Partner at Shooter Detection Systems, a company founded with a singular focus of commercializing lifesaving military technology to protect the public against the rising active shooter threat to our nations critical infrastructure, schools, workplaces and public venues. He conducts nationwide security assessments, specifically on active shooter threats, for corporate, school, and hospital campuses, as well as U.S. Government customers.

Mr. Marshall served 23 years of active military within the United States Special Operations Command as a Navy SEAL and Explosive Ordnance Disposal operator. He retired as a Master Chief after serving at multiple east coast SEAL Teams. He has held all levels of tactical and operational leadership positions. He has served in numerous conflicts around the globe.
